TEFL scholarship application form

To apply for the scholarship you’ll need to complete this form with as much detail as possible. It consists of 4 sections and should take around 15 minutes.

Please ensure all of your information is accurate before submitting the form. Unsuccesful applicants will need to wait 6 months before trying again.

1. Your Details

Initial details about yourself and how to contact you. China has certain requirements for those wishing to gain a work permit for teaching the English language, so it's important to fill out this initial information accurately.

This could include any prescription medicine, essential medical equipment, or treatments which would need to be accessed within a 1-year period from your arrival in China.
A criminal record check will be required during the visa application

2. Education background

China requires teachers to have certain educational qualifications in order to gain a work permit for teaching English. Likewise, the schools partaking in this scholarship program have requirements for teachers hoping to fast-track positions at their schools.

3. Work and travel experience

It's not essential to have previous teaching experience or a history of travel, but applications will be checked for signs of transferable skills which could be used with teaching or living overseas.

4. Application questions

It's important to understand your reasons for wanting to teach English in China, and any concerns you might be having.

Please note, completing the TEFL course can take 3-4 weeks, and the visa application can take around 8 weeks.

Applications will be reviewed within 3 working days and contacted via the given email address. Successful applicants will be required to provide further details and then interviewed.
