Teaching jobs in Taiwan
Taiwan is perhaps the best kept secret in Asia. This country is located in between Japan, China, the Philippines, and Vietnam, and offers teachers a unique blend of culture. Aside from having great wages, and a clean environment, it’s also one of the safest countries in the world with almost no petty street crime.
It’s easy to overlook Taiwan as China often claims that it’s a province of China, but in reality it’s an entirely separate country with its own fully independant democratic government, currency, and vastly different culture. There’s no internet censorship, no religious restrictions, its citizens have access to a world-leading national health service, along with freedom of speech, and it’s LGBT-friendly!
Unlike many other countries, the visa process in Taiwan is also relatively pain-free, generally being done all in the country when you arrive, and taking around 2-3 weeks. This makes it a great option for those wanting to avoid the long and expensive applications elsewhere.
